A recent survey of 2,000 customers by UK supermarket ASDA has found that a goody bag was the the top ‘must have’ at a children’s birthday party.
Almost half admit to spending up to €700 on their child’s party each year and more for 1st, 13th and 18th birthdays. One third felt pressure to spend more than they could afford.

We are delighted to launch a new version of our website to incorporate WooCommerce Storefront. There is now a better layout of product pictures and an improved shopping experience.
We will be tweaking colours and customer widgets over the next week, but nothing that should hinder your user experience.
When we launched PartyBag.ie, we were mainly dealing with personal customers. As the business has grown and we have taken on more and more business customers, we have decided to become VAT registered as of 01/01/2015. This change will not result in an increase in prices, but will ensure that we give more even value to our business customers.
Many companies are now planning a Santa event for their employees and families this Christmas. These are important events for companies, yet the person organising it usually has this task on top of their normal job. In these cases, it makes sense for the organiser to make things as easy as possible.
So, when it comes to a gift for the kids? A selection box! They are relatively cheap and kids love them. Surely a no brainer?
Yet, in an era of corporate responsibility, maybe not. According to Safefood, 1 in 4 kids are overweight or obese; obese children are likely to become obese adults and parents find it difficult to recognise that their child’s weight is not healthy.
A medium-sized M&M Selection Box, contains 108 grammes of sugar. This translates to 27 teaspoons of sugar. According to the American Heart Association, children aged 4-8 with a daily caloric intake of 1,600 calories should consume no more than 130 calories, or about 3 teaspoons a day.
So, a medium-sized selection box contains 9 times the recommended daily intake of sugar for a young child! Time to rethink Santa’s sack.

Please note that no orders received on PartyBag.ie between June 28th and July 11th will be fulfilled until July 12th. This is due to necessary work on site maintenance and stock-taking. This is usually a quiet time of year due to schools finishing up, so hopefully there will not be too much disruption.
Please note that you can still submit orders during this time, they just won’t be fulfilled until July 12th.
We had a lovely email from one of our new customers (S Boyce) yesterday.
“The order arrived today. Many thanks as the items are perfect.
They surpassed my expectations without doubt.
Great website! Just what I needed and nice not to have to go through Amazon but an Irish site. “
